1989

  • my mother gave birth to me and named me Joey – for which I love her very much 🙂💚

1989 – 2002

  • nothing really worth mentioning … (unless you care 😉)

2003

  • I was about 13 when I taught myself to play guitar and while my school days I started my first attempts at singing in the same year and I also began to write my first songs
  • Elvis Presley was a person I totaly idolized since 2001 I think and I maybe tried a bit to orient myself on his vocals in the 50s

2006

  • secondary school diploma
  • my first little band together with my bigger brother „The Cat Brothers“ (Country, Rockabilly) from 2006-2009

2007

  • first demo recordings (lo-fi) at home
  • during that time I taught myself to play a couple of other instruments, such as bass and piano
  • my first official band called „The Lonelight Combo“ from 2007 to 2012
  • the same year I started to appear on front-vocal in the band „Ray Allen & Band“ (Rockabilly, Rock’n’Roll) from 2007 to 2012

2008

  • I played lead guitar in a band  called „The Bronco Specials“ (Country, Rockabilly) from 2008 to 2011

2011

  • I moved from Leipzig (GER) to Berlin (GER), to maybe expand a bit musicially and to be nearer my mom, my brother & my little sis
  • I joined a Swing/Rhythm’n’Blues-band as new front-singer (Jump Blues, Rock’n’Roll, 50’s Swing) from 2011 to 2018, but I I didn’t feel quite comfortable there vocally

2012

  • I fronted another little band called „Hot Trigger“ (Rockabily) from 2012 to 2017
  • I stepped musicially and vocally into a band called „The BeatORGANization“ (60’s Garage / Beat, Rhythm’n’Blues, Soul) from 2012 until today

2013

  • now I musicially joined a band called „Lil ‚Neal & The Blue Flames“ on double-bass (Rock’n’Roll, Rockabilly) from 2013 to 2018
  • I took part in a german fantasy-film comedy called „Robin Hood und ich“ together with the four-casted band „Hot Trigger“ to play a Rockabilly song (written by me) in a movie-scene

2014

  • I started another activity as a vinyl-DJ (rock’n’roll, swing, garage, 50s / 60s teensound)
  • I played double-bass in a band called „The Tune-Pickers“ (Country, Rockabilly) from 2014 to 2017

2015

  • I started to record my first semi-professional demo-recordings (mostly my own pieces, but also some experimental cover-songs)
  • I taught myself some knowledge in drums and harmony-singing

2016

  • I sang a song (with german lyrics) for the german film-production called „Das Unmögliche Bild“ (drama), which was written by the producers of the movie

2017

  • together with three bandmates I founded another new band called „Good For Nothing“, with me on front-vocal (Premitive 50s-Rockabilly) from 2017 to 2020 *the lead-guitarist moved to California late 2021*

2018

  • late 2018 I decided to move back to Leipzig (GER), where I was born

2019

  • I founded a new band of my own called „JB Carter & Band“ (60’s Soul, Garage, Rhythm’n’Blues)
  • I also played lead-guitar in a little band called „The Swinging Cash Daddies“ (Country, Rock’n’Roll, Swing) from 2019 to 2020

2020

  • the corona-pandemic came (lots of time to practice, write songs and develop musically, as well as try myself out here and there)
  • no rehearsal or any gigs possible

2022

  • finally, we can start along .. planning some studio-records and maybe go up for some gigs
